Thermopylae’s Innovative Centre of Historical Information

The Battle of Thermopylae is considered to be one of the most important battles of Greek and World History that highlights such high values as bravery, self-sacrifice, self-denial, and faith in the homeland. That is why the Municipality of Lamia has created the innovative museum to keep alive the historical memory.

The Thermopylae’s Innovative Centre of Historical Information is located in Thermopylae near Leonidas Monument. It is distinguished for two reasons, its prominent form as a north-facing spear tip, and the modern technology that it exploits with the three-dimensional virtual reality of the historical events of Thermopylae.

This innovative conception of an interactive space of historical narrations invites the visitors and the scientific audience to participate actively in the retrospection daily and Saturday-Sunday at 9:00 – 17:00 (For July and August 09:30 -17: 30).
